SAP preferred employer in India, China, Mexico and Europe

Walldorf (Germany): SAP, a global provider of business software, has received multiple recognitions as a preferred employer in India, China, Mexico and Europe, the company announced.

In India, SAP received recognition as one of the 'Best Workplaces' by the Great Place to Work Institute. According to the 'Best Workplaces in India' Study, 2008, SAP Labs India is one of the top 50 best workplaces in the country across various industry sectors and is among the top five employers in the information technology (IT) software category. In China, SAP was recently honored as an IT Industry Employer of Choice at the 'Top Chinese IT Employers of 2007' award ceremony. In the Americas, SAP Mexico earned a ranking as a 'Super Enterprise' in 'The Companies Everybody Wants to Work For' ranking. SAP Mexico was ranked as number 22 overall and number four within the IT & Services Segment.

The company also ranked 16th in a European survey and was named as one of the '50 Best Large Workplaces in Europe to Work for', according to the Great Place to Work Institute. This came on the heels of SAP's recognition as 'Germany's Best Employer' in the category of 'Companies With More Than 5,000 Employees' for the fourth consecutive year in 2008. Earlier this year, SAP Japan also ranked among the top 20 companies for the second time.

High survey rankings awarded by existing SAP employees in various locations shows the continued importance the company places on its talent management and attraction, stated a press release.

As a global leader in business and IT innovation, SAP invests in talent development by offering a variety of global employee enhancement programs. A 'Skills on Demand' library provides employees with access to more than 13,000 e-learning courses, skill briefs, job aides, books, simulations and other learning materials that helps employees to expand their skill sets, the release added.

Comment 1: I am doing MBA-HR (third semester). I would like to peruse SAP-HR course right now. Do I need prior knowledge in any other computer languages or packages or ERP`s before doing this course. I know only C-language and my specialization in graduation was in the field of life sciences. Is SAP-HR an ideal course,as in the grounds of employment in India or in The U.S? I would be glad if you could suggest me.
