Blog on and get your words published too

New Delhi: Here's some good news for all you bloggers. If you want your blog writings to be published then here's an opportunity by Sulekha.com, a web portal.

An initiative meant to encourage creative writing and give writers a platform to showcase their work, the Sulekha Book Series has already come out with the first book - a collection of posts by a blogger.

According to Satya Prabhakar, CEO of Sulekha.com, the blogs, which basically centre around subjects such as humour, poetry, travel and personal experiences, provide a good casual read. Therefore putting them together in a book would be a hit.

"This initiative aims at featuring some of our most prolific writers who have been our support system. The idea is to encourage more creative writers and provide them a platform to showcase their works," Prabhakar said.

"Books of this genre are a good pick for casual reading and would encourage more and more people to take up reading as a hobby, which is on the wane at present," he added.

The editorial team of the Sulekha Book Series will choose one blogger on the 15th of every month and publish his selected works the next month.
