About the author Derek O’Brien is Asia’s most well known quizmaster. He conducts more than 100 quizzes every year, which possibly makes him the busiest quiz host in the world. The host of India’s longest running quiz show on television, The Cadbury Bournvita Quiz Contest, Derek is also the quiz master for the longest running corporate knowledge game show, The Brand Equity Quiz. His is the most recognized Indian face in the Gulf countries, where he regularly conducts quiz shows. Besides quizzing, Derek and his team of more than 70 associates have been working closely with teachers and students for more than a decade now to make knowledge available in a fun and interesting way. The result is Derek O’Brien’s KQ School Advantage — a soft skill, multimedia confidence building course module for children. In 2000, Derek along with his colleagues invented the knowledge measurement tool KQ or Knowledge Quotient. Derek started his career in the early 1980s as a sports journalist and later worked with Ogilvy & Mather as creative director. In 1992, he started his own company.
